Shauni narrowed her eyes as the Grovyle vanished. " Annoying little pokemon," she muttered to herself. " I can't wait to knock you into next week." She shifted her gaze to the Ho-oh, that seemed equally as confused and disappointed at the grovyle's disappearance. And then, suddendly, there it was again, smashing into his side with a brick break attack.
The Ho-oh shied away in pain a little, but knew his trainer would not take that kindly. She seemed to be more determined to win this than he did.
" That one for sure," she could be heard saying in regards to which pokemon she would give up. Perhaps a little harsh, but did Giovanni really need anything super-strong?
" Fly!"
It took him a few minutes to recover from the attack, but once he had, he rocketed towards the pokemon yet again, this time lowering his head. It would appear he was going to try and bash his rather large skull into the grovyle's body.

the grovle jumped, still getting hit by the flying headbutt but not as bad as it would've been as he vanished into the combonation again, aiming for a different spot this time, seemed like Shauni and the grovyle had something in common.

Shauni watched the Grovyle going for Ho-oh's weak points, and a thought crossed her mind. She had an idea of just how to exploit this pokemon, but...No, she wouldn't do it. She had to earn this the right way. The badges, at the very least.
Sighing at herself, she recalled the Ho-oh, wishing she would have used the 'evil' tactic already, as she sent Rayquaza out instead.
" Dragonclaw!"
Without giving the Grovyle a moment to consider what was going on, Rayquaza lashed out at him, with three, sharp talon-like claws.

the Grovyle was hit but surprizingly still standing as it used the last attack anyone would expect a grovyle to know, he used Faint attack to get to Rayquaza before using a Hyperbeam at close range, Ray was starting to act extremely Hyper at the moment.

" Dragonbreath, counter that beam now!" The Rayquaza all-too happily obliged. He wasn't going to stand around and let himself get beaten up by a measly little grovyle! It would hurt his pride.
He fired the Dragonbreath just in the nick of time, and knowing that the the two beams would explode when they met, chose to flee to an higher altitude. He couldn't use the move fly, but he could still hover in the air, given the fact that his breed lived far up in the ozone layer and all.
He could feel his tail catching the effects of the explosion, and grimaced. He couldn't show pain to that stupid little pokemon, or it would get energy from hope.

The grovyle collapsed after his beam was fired, Jax grinned and recalled it, Silently calling out his next pokemon, which was a powerful looking Ivysaur.

Rayquaza looked quite pleased with himself, as did Shauni. Oh, the dragon was definately a keeper! He was just as ruthless in a battle as she wanted him to be, and he didn't hesitate on her orders like Ho-oh had.
" I think you know the drill by now, as well as that chesnut that they're stronger than they look."
The Rayquaza growled in agreement, staring at the Ivysaur, as if expecting some outlandish attack. But, Shauni decided that waiting was not part of her battle strategy. If the pokemon had the sense to move, it would. If not, she didn't care. The point was to faint them anyway.
" Flamethrower!"
Rayquaza fired from his high altitude, knowing the blast would be weaker near the end, but still strong enough to hurt if it hit.

Jax nodded to the Ivy saur as it used it weight to it's advantage and rolled out of the way but not before fireng a razor leaf attack that ignited from the flamthrower right before they got to rayquaza.

" Dodge the attack as best you can! You're a serpent, so use that to your advantage!"
Rayquaza coiled himself around in the air, literally slithering past many of the fire-covered razor leaves. Yet, as he got closer to the ground, he stopped paying attention to them, and a few struck him in-between the eyes.
Roaring in pain, he lashed out with a dragon claw attack, without being ordered to. Shauni growled, but decided that she'd let it slide, seeing as if she had been hit on the forehead, she'd probably be pretty mad too.

Jax nodded as the Ivysaur bounced out of the way of the Rayquaza and fired a Solarbeam which also helped with avvoiding the Rayquaza.

" Move out of the way!"
The solarbeam was a lot easier for even the large sky dragon to avoid, and he did, curling his upper lip in a sneer as he glared at the Ivysaur below him.
" Dragonbreath!"
Roaring loudly, he dove in toward the bulb pokemon and spat the attack at him.

there was a slight glint in Jax's eyes when the attack hit, and that was never good, "Mirror move Ivysaur," Jax said, something was odd with these pokemon as the Ivysuar complied and fired a dragonbreath of it's own at Rayquaza.

And it wasn't good, either. Being a dragon pokemon himself, Rayquaza was weak against both ice AND other dragon-type moves. Startled by the attack, Rayquaza was caught off guard, hit full-force at close range with the attack, and proceeded to faint without so much as a snort.
Shauni seemed to have a glint of her own, though it was one of rage. Now she only had one pokemon!
" Come on, bring home the gold, Phoenix.."
Tossing her last pokeball into the air, Shauni released the odd creature that had followed her out of route one, whatever type of pokemon it was.
" shadow ball!"
Grinning, he fired a shadow ball at the ivysaur.

The Ivy saur was hit by the attack but strangely seemed to absorb it, then Shoot out a large black beam at Phoenix, Jax was trying to contain his laughter, and failing at it

Phoenix didn't even need to be commanded to dodge the attack, and did it himself. He was surprised by the Ivysaur's move, but not discouraged. He was waiting for the right moment to use his ultimate move, but didn't want to use it too soon, for the energy it took up.
" Attack! I don't have to tell you what to do!"
The strange pokemon fired a flamethrower instead. Stick to the basics, he supposed

the Strange Ivysaur rolled out of the way again only getting singed before it used razor leaf though the flame thrower and hit the spinkler system above Phoenix.

Phoenix yelped as the water started to hit him, and shifted into his larger form, with the odd mask covering his face. Oh, he was mad now. And a bit amused, though he figured it was time for this fight to end.
" Body slam!"
At Shauni's command, Phoenix rushed forward as fast as he could, and literally threw himself at the Ivysaur. Being larger now, it would be more effective than in his first form.

the Ivy saur was thrown back but strangely as it flew it glowed, when it landed it was upright and it was a Venusaur, strange how evolutions happen in the middle of battles.

" Oh, come ON!"
Fuming, Shauni shook her head. She just couldn't catch a break, could she?
" Inferno blast!"
Phoenix was surprised, but was close to Venasaur, and supposed Shauni wanted a quick victory,. Thus, he obliged, unleashed his most powerful move. Though, one could tell that he was tired, as soon as he'd used it.

the Venusaur was barely standing but looked like it was on his last legs as it used synthisis as the sun seemed brighter as the Venusaur followed up with Skullbash.
