" Well, I've got myself a job and three pokemon now. Well, two. I have to give the other one up to the boss."
Sighing, Shauni strolled along route one, Nightfire trotting by her side.
<You mean we actually have to go back there sometime?> he inquired. They could understand each other now, ever since that freak accident back at the Rocket's Headquarters.
< Call this a twist of fate> she simply replied, less than shocked with the effects now, not realizing that she was speaking to charmander like another charmander would. She could speak to him and English and he would understand it through their mind link, but she couldn't exactly pick and choose when she did just what. It all happened randomly.
Nightfire sighed, and the two sat down on the ground for a moment to rest, while Shauni looked at the two pokeballs. They contained the pokemon she'd just purchased.
"...I can delay it for a while, but he'll want it eventually. I mean, he's not going to come looking for the pokemon I promised himself, but this collar.."
She tapped it.
" Oh well."
With a light yawn, she leaned back on the ground, while nightfire sat down next to her.

All of a sudden there was a small weight as if something was sitting on her head. ((is Jax, AKA diablo.))

She clawed out at whatever was sitting on her head, and Nightfire growled. Unexpectedly, Shauni's hand became hot, as if she were going to use a fire attack or something of that nature. She didn't realize this of course.

the weight disappeared and a familier black and red Mew appeared in front of Shauni, the mew floating upside down. <Hello again> he replied.

" Hello," she replied in english, holding back her impulse of fear. After seeing what this creature had done on the video Giovanni had shown, she was a little, well, scared.
" What brings you here?" she politely inquired, glad that her collar was practically invisible.

Shauni frowned. Must he always know everything that was going on?
" So I did," she yawned, pulling the shades down so he could see her blood-red eyes. " Like 'em?"
Grinning, she pushed the glasses back up, and patted Nightfire on the head.
" It's not a total loss. I'm getting paid a nice sum, and who knows, maybe I'll turn over a new leaf someday when they remove the collar."
She knew he knew it was there, so why try hiding it?

" I don't care if they are watching me," she snapped. " They can't control me. I'll do what they want for the money, but none of them will ever have complete control. Not even their surprisingly intelligent boss."
She glanced at Nightfire.
" Well, that's cool. That trick can come in handy."
She looked him over. " So, he showed me what you did...And here I thought you were such a nice guy."

She frowned a little more. " Diablo huh? Well, I'm sorry that happened, but I think I can outsmart them to my own advantage. Besides, I don't have the same abilities you do..And hey, at least you're free now, right? I'm still trying to figure my way out of this collar."
Charmander nodded.

Shauni sighed.

She grinned, patting Nightfire on the head once more.
< Or hey, once I get the collar removed, I can always just never show up for work again. That's more my style.>
She stood up, and Nightfire followed suit.
" Well, glad to hear you made it out. I'm curious though..Are you a trainer as well?"

She seemed to be talking in pokespeak when she didn't want whomever was listening to understand. It was nice and all, but she couldn't keep it up for very long.

<I'm not an easy trainer to beat and you do need to hone your abilitys so that you don't accidentally burn someone, That would get to Giovanni really fast and he would want to know more about it,> he replied.

She grinned. " I'm sorry, but I've always wanted to say this in response to a question like that.."
She cleared her throat, and nightfire rolled his eyes, already knowing what she was about to say.
" I like to leave a man wanting more," she snickered, barely able to keep a straight face.
" Sorry, sorry. Alright. Well, show me your power. I want to see what you can do. If you're game?"

She was surprised to see him, and her widened eyes showcased just that.
" Er, how about a two on two battle? I'm afraid I only have three pokemon, one of which I'm saving."
She gave a sheepish grin, and Nightfire looked a little anxious at the sight of six balls. This kid must be a good trainer. He was probably in for a butt-whooping.
